    Awesome! so why do they push it into the water? Is it easier for them to remove it from the bottom of the river vs being elevated on the pilings?

    I would assume it just safer overall. Seen a few bridges go down over the years and all went right into the river.

    The rest of the bridge they cut down and hauled away on barges, it didn’t fall in the river. It is cut up and gone now. The new bridge will open all 4 lanes on Saturday.
