My middle son Austin caught a fish of a lifetime today on Spirit Lake.We do not have a trophy factory like some of the other midwest waters so this fish was something special for us.
In the past 2 weeks Austin has put a 30″ northern,18″ smallmouth, and this 26.5″ walleye in the boat.
Sorry to brag but to see the fight, netting, and pics was something special to share with a son.

Nice looking fish! I’m sure that it was fun and exciting getting that fish in the boat! Does Austin offer any tips for the rest of us?

Keep up the good job and enjoy those fishing trips with the boys!

Great fish for a great kid! Really takes after his dad. Man Austin you have grown three feet since you were sliding around on the ice at Big Creek, way to go.

Ryan, tell Austin “way to go” for me! That’s a great fish. I’m sure Cole is thrilled for his brother, right?

Austin is just 9 years old,I did tell him he might not get another like it again-but I hope he does.
Wade,Cole jealous? Never happen would it-ha,ha.He still has us beat on that 20″ smallie though and he makes sure everyone know about that fish.
I’ve had a few e-mails from past clients wanting Austin to take them out fishing
