In the market for a new deep fryer. The one we use in the house took a crap after many years. Don’t want one to large but would like one with a removable container. Any suggestions?

I have an Oster with a basket that raises and lowers into / out of the oil y manipulating the handle. It works well for our little friends from the deep!

I just use a turkey fryer outside. I have the tall pot on there now, but a small one can be purchased. I only use 1 gal of oil in it and keep the oil in it unitl it needs to be changed. It just stays in the garage with the cover on it when not in use.

You’ll be surprised at all the junk out there. I bought one from Gourmetliving at Shopko after much shopping around. It works good.

This isn’t an inside fryer…well, I know a guy that uses it inside his shop.

It’s called a Frying Saucer. Runs off of the small propane tanks and it’s collapsible to take on trips. I’m getting one for the camper to fry my walleyes in.

The fella I know has one left and wants to move it @ $119.00

That thing is awesome I love it. If I ate more fried food I would definitely have one of those. Right now when i fry things up which is rare I just use a cast iron pan.

Bk, have you ever had a problem with it not getting hot enough? I bought my dad one last year and his would not get the oil temp up. He tried the 1# tanks and a 20# er on it. Looking online it seems to happen to others?

When we were up at LOTW this fall some friends brought theirs along and the plastic tag started on fire and burnt the plastic regulator on the burner.

The thing works great and the nice thing about it is the small amount of oil but maybe we just have a bad batch?

I don’t own one yet. I’ve just watched and taste tested from one.

    First I’ve heard of this!

Got an Emeril off off HSN, good but big. I use a fry daddy for small batches. Summer I use the turkey fryer with a fish fryer basket on it.

IMO the most important thing with a fryer is having a thermostat so you don’t have to fuss with guessing to keep the temp where you need it

Then buy which ever one has the most powerful heating element per size so that it can bump the temp up immediately after you dump in the food
