Going to Toronto in a couple weeks for the weekend. Anyone know if I can use my cell phone there without any additional charges since it is outside the US?

You will have extra charges! You might want to contact Verizon and look into a one month plan change to include Canada.

You can have them turn on international roaming. Something like $25 plus so much per minute talk time, it should include something like 10 mb of data. I would call or stop by a store to check the exact cost and features.

Just remember to have them start and stop it on certain dates. I would also call after you return to make sure it was turned off.

We got extended service when we were in Hawaii for two weeks. Cost was 0 dollars. Reception was superb. There may be a charge since Canada is not domestic but I can’t imagine it being that much for a few days.

Probably because it is technically in the US. We had the same experience (free and excellent) in Puerto Rico.
