I still can’t believe they get back pay for work they didn’t have to do. Tell me of any non-government company that would do the same thing. Do you think any of the outfitters that were shut down because of this are able to pay their employees back pay? Unbelievable.

Which outfitters closed due to the shutdown? Are we talking MN or somewhere else?
At least it wasn’t congress that recieved the raise!

No, but they shouldn’t have been able to collect their pay for causing the shut down either.

The articles I read in the St Paul paper indicated the outfitters on the upper St Croix (canoe rentals and dinner cruise boats) we not allowed to stay in business because it is a national scenic riverway. There were weddings booked on the cruise boat that was not allowed to leave the dock. This was in Taylors Falls and St Croix falls I believe. Also heard fishing guides were not allowed to guide on that section of the river.

Some of the things that shut down were just stupid! Closing a public waterway to business because it’s a national scenic waterway… last I remembered it’s OUR nation, not the government’s. That’s as sad as the first lady getting upset that her garden wasn’t attended for.

Vote em all out. Let’s have a start over instead of a do over.

I see it as a 2.5 week paid vacation that cost all of us dearly. We (the voters) need to send these jackwads aka incumbents a BIG message by not voting a single ONE in the upcoming election. I know I won’t be.

My thoughts exactly. I don’t care who is running against an incumbent THEY will get my vote.

Been doing this for years… there is usually an Independent candidate(very rarely win, with nobody lining their pockets)… the time is coming
