lead core and dive bombs

Any body familiar with and use these? I was doubtful about these until I tried them. It is a weight that attaches to lead core to get additional depth with standard lead core line. Recently used these trolling for lakers in Canada and had great success. I would make a couple trolling passes with lead core and would pick up fish. I would then make passes with the dive bomb attached and pick up additional and much larger trout. I thought the dive bomb might damage the line but I did not find that occurring. By the end of the trip I was only using lead core with the dive bombs attached they worked that well. I will usually put out 4 color of lead core, attach the dive bomb, then let out 4 or 5 more colors. Eight colors will usually get down about 40 feet at 2 mph, with the dive bombs attached they went deeper but I don’t know exactly how deep, guessing 60-70 feet. We were able to troll up three trout 32-33 inches which for the lakes we were fishing was outstanding. A very good product in my opinion and thought the lead core trollers might like to know about it.

We’re always interested in the new/better mousetrap. Can you post a link to the “dive bombs” you’re talking about?

I’ve used the dive bombs for salmon on a friends boat. They work pretty slick.
