Looking for the combined cold weather coat and PFD. Have seen a few different brands but not sure what is best…and they are expensive. Do they allow full movement, comfortable, and how warm are they? Looking for any recommendations… Thanks
i have artic armor and love it thought that it would not float me so this summer hopped into the water and floated around for well over 2 hrs until my hands turned white and still could have floated its not coast guard approved but will do the job bought a set for the wife after that

I’m using the mustang survival Integrity Flotation Coat Model #: MC1524 and it is great. It was really stiff for a while like a new carhart jacket but it is finally getting broke in.
I was recommended to get the jacke from a couple of friends of mine they both moose hunt in Canada and they are a jacket of choice for being in the wet swamp areas.
Mine came in handy this spring fishing when my expensive rain gear faild and I got soaked. I took the rain coat off and put my mustang jacket on and in a matter of a few min I was toasty warm and was comfortable the rest of the icky day. I should have worn the coat from the beginning.
I also use mine ice fishing.
As far as price you are looking at a flotation coat to potentially save your life I’m thinking the $258 plus a hood sold separate is well worth it.

Reading the pdf sheet it sounds like to me it would be a floating rain coat. No insulating properties. But I don’t know.
