I have been reading this site for a long time now to learn more about fishing, but I feel I have found a group of buddies who think just like I do. Just wanted to say thank you and I look forward to a lot more great reading!

please specify shoe size (for your “dairy barn” style knee-high rubber-boots) and what type of shovel you would prefer

I love to fish everything, but living in southern minnesota requires a lot of travel to the beautiful northland and walleye country. I bought my first boat this since I was younger growing up on lake waconia west of Minneapolis. Had been fishing a lot with buddies in their boats, but it was time. My best trip this year was my wife and daughters catching their first walleyes in Alexandria………..priceless

Is it safe to assume you bought an Alumacraft Competitor?

You are wise! I did buy an Alumacraft Competitor 175 LT. I bought a console boat with my wife and 2 girls wanting to tube and stuff as well as fish. I really like fishing out of a tiller, but this works really well right now.
