Hoping for four points on this four game road trip. One win one loss in regulation and ties would be nice. But realistically will probably lose 2 or 3.

Don’t see a lot of fight out of the boys in green.

The Habs on the other hand seem to really want it.

Wild are very sluggish at best tonight. No one playing well at all. Glad they took Harding out he deserves a rest. Especially when they are playing this way in front of him. Not his fault.

The way Kuemper is playing, he might not get much rest and get thrown right back in there. I thought Kuemper would do better. I like his size, but he seems slow. Might have to call up Gustafsson again.

Fletcher is probably working the phones tonight.

At least you can’t say they let this one get away.

I’d rather see a loss like this then see them lose a game they should’ve won. I turned it off after about the 1/2 way point. I couldn’t watch Keumper.

Just hope they don’t go on one of those bad rolls now. Fletcher better be looking for help for Harding. He can’t do it by himself and I wouldn’t blame him for tonight.

    Not good.

The loss isn’t the big deal to me, after all you don’t give up any more points for losing 6-1 than you do 2-1.

The problem for me was Darcy Kuemper was just awful. Sorry, but as a backup your job is to be ready and he clearly wasn’t NHL ready. This is a serious gap for the Wild, at one point Kuemper had been scored on in 4 of the first 9 shots he’s faced this season.

The Wild need to figure out the goaltending situation and fast. Major gap for the Wild and they can’t expect Harding to carry the team for the entire season.

When Backs gets back we’ll be in good shape. You can’t expect a team to carry 2 top 10 goalies. Just not feasible. I agree Keumper is not the answer.

Things seem to be going their way tonight. Good to see Brodin contributing to the offense again. A little over 1/4 the way into the season, and I couldn’t have asked for more. I truly expected them to be no better than last year.

This team has a bit of swagger. I think Coyle and Pominville have been off a little these last 2 games, despite getting points. What has happened to Craig Anderson? Man, he was giving up soft goals and rebounds all night. Dumba looked better.

Nice to see Koivu on a scoring streak. He takes a lot of heat on the message boards, undeservingly. Some even call him more suited in a 3rd line role. Morons.

Agree re Koivu. People are so short sighted in general. 3 games without a goal and they’re calling for him to be dealt? WTF?

The thing about Koivu is that he is GOING to produce and he often produces just when we need it most. He had both of the goals that dispatched the Jets on Sunday.

The Wild are becoming the team that we all wanted them to be last year. Just too much, too soon as far as expectations. If I’m remembering right, the Wild gotten a point out of 13 of the last 15 games. This isn’t a big mouth, big hit, dance/prance showoff team.

They just keep hanging around and making precise strikes. Perfect example last night, I could just see the Sens thinking the tie was safe and BANG, Captain Koivu knocks them out.

Koivu IMO is a top 5 all around player. There is not too many better when you combine offensive and defensive play.

I also have to laugh when people say he isn’t a leader and he doesn’t say the right things after a game.

Backs seems lost tonight. Surprised its not 5-0.

Not a good time to lose your top players.

Blues got one shot on goal in the 3rd, the empty netter. Wild didn’t wake up until the third and you can’t do that with the schedule they have in front of them. Tonight was a good wake up call.

I have not heard the severity of Harding’s injury, Bad?
I don’t like the idea of them being a Backstrom injury away from playing Kuemper.

Parise is out 2-3 weeks. Not sure about Harding or Granlund for that matter. Couldn’t have come at a worse part of the schedule. I guess we will see what this team is made of and how they deal with adversity. I am normally positive seeing things through rose colored glasses. I am afraid in 2-3 weeks we could be fighting for the 8th and final spot. I expect him to be out 2 weeks (7 games).

Just read the Harding and Granlund seem day to day. Could be back as early as tomorrow.

Parise was skating today. He won’t play, but it looks like now maybe less than 2 weeks. What a warrior.

OK a couple losses in a row, but I am not concerned. I think they are going to go on a run now. In the 2 losses I haven’t found a lot to be concerned with and there has been a lot of stuff going on with injuries. I think they will settle down now and start winning games again. It’ll start with a big win tomorrow in CO. Similar to how we went to Chicago and stole one and then came back here and they thumped us.

I thought they looked good. A few losses is no big deal. We will start to click again really soon.

I think I cracked the code. When one of the Pomeranians comes down to watch hockey with me the Wild score and win. Athena came down at the start of the third. I think she’s wondering why she’s such a good girl and why she is getting so many belly rubs.

    Pomeranian = Pominville goal.

    Coincidence?

Kind of what I as thinking. Pominville, population 2.

Nice to see Heater getting his game back. I really like him paired with Niederreiter. He seems to always know where he is.

I got one complaint listening to Doc Emrick and crew with NBCSports. You don’t always have to identify every player or coach with their former teams. Live in the GD present!

    Here’s a funny list I found

I like Emrick, but man do I miss Thorne and Clement. I like Jim Hughson’s voice too for HNC.
