I have to admit, I never expected him to be back with this kind of form…

I don’t even think about him having MS. That being said, I didn’t expect him to be this consistent. I’ve always considered him streaky, but he’s proven now to be reliable. You have to give some credit to the defense and team defense, but that doesn’t take anything away from how he is playing. Look how Backs struggled when we were dictating the play early in the year.

I really liked what I heard from Harding in the post game interview after the Canadians game. I thought he played well. His words were that he was not seeing the puck well and he felt he didn’t have a good game. That’s what I like about him. He’s open and honest, even if he is being ultra competitive by being hard on himself in his critique of his performance.

Cooke has been such a disciplined player that my dang avatar is getting old, but I am afraid if I replace it, I jinx him.

    Remember this guy?

By the way, I hope those NHL 94 t-shirts become popular. I found a couple, but I think it would be cool if they made some for the Wild.

Sure do Brent Burns. Has turned into a nice forward for San Jose.

Anybody see the Emery fight with Holtby? That was brutal, can’t believe the Refs didn’t step in. Emery real big man, punching Holtby in the back of the head when he was down. I hope Emery is gone for a few games. IMHO

Unfortunately not the case. Apparently instigating is the only penalty he can receive. He needs to instigate 3 fights before he can even be considered to be suspended. Bunch of crap that will change over the next offseason.

Yeah that is bullcrap. Emery is a douchbag and always will be. Its not the first time he’s pulled that crap.

Why does it seem like this team needs a kick in the to get going the past 3 games.

As I type they’re down 1-0. They look really flat. I do expect them to turn it on by the end of the period.

Remember the first few games where the D was aggressive and they really kept teams from moving through the neutral zone? I think for whatever reason they had a great camp and other teams caught up.

    I agree.

Is it wrong to expect a win every night? They just seem to have this ability to out skate anyone every night.

I can’t wait for them to play SJ or the Avs. Should be a good measuring stick.

Nice to see Heater coming around. I’d rather he do it in a better late than never than too little too late situation. And its not just that he is on the 4th line playing against the other forth line, he’s back checking, forechecking, making moves and plays he wasn’t making before. I hope it continues.

Geez, you might be in bad shape if we get a blizzard! Our old house must have been connected to underground power because it would go out when we had wet periods. Then they must have fixed it because it went away.

Just watched a doe and 2 yearlings at the feeder about 20′ from the porch.

We lost power once for about 40 hours in the winter. Our neighborhood has underground but outside our hood is above ground. So it doesn’t help much in storms. Safer in my yard because they can’t come down in a storm though.

Wish the deer were out in my yard right about now. The dog would prob chase them away anyway. She’s good at protecting us from the savage deer.

Well you missed a heck of a period. I missed a couple goals too switching over to the World Series of Poker.

likewise, although its always conflicting since the Sharks edge out the wild as my fav. A shootout would be nice haha.

As much as I like hockey, I think the fighting has got out of hand. There just is not the heated rivalries between teams in the sport anymore that used to spawn real fights. Now it seems they fight just for the show and to end up on some video clip posted on ESPN or the interweb. The fighting seems staged to me.

That fight in the third period last night is a prime example

It’s become kind of a joke. IMHO

Fights like that in the 3rd have always happened. But back in the old days, guys could jump off the bench and in that situation you might have seen Konopka come over the boards.

Speaking of Konopka, nice shot last night. The Polak is finally on the board!

He seems like such a chemistry guy that I am glad they didn’t trade him away this summer.

It smacks of the WWF, no where near the old NHL fights.

Paul Holmgren,Willie Plett, Al Secord, those fights were part of the game, the fights today don’t have much to do with the game or have any effect on the outcome of the game.

There are definitely “staged” fights and as much as I am a fan of fighting, I agree that these get ridiculous. This is a result of them clamping down on fighting. Your team is down and needs a lift, send a guy out to go “ask” someone on the other team if they want to fight.

I remember a YouTube video where George Larocque was mic’ed or you could read his lips. He lined up across from a rookie “enforcer”. Larocque politely asked him if he wanted to go, in essence, giving the rookie a chance to show his coach what he could do.

Last night’s fight wasn’t staged. Jackman was hacking Pominville and Stoner came to his defense.

Those were fun times watching the Northstars and the Blawkhawks, the helmetless Willie Plett. who can forget our goalie Gump Worsley, the only thing on his head was a crewcut!

Nice win for the Wild and great to see Parise putting in 2. That’s the kind of production we need out of the top guns.

Harding. What can I say? He’s like the Energizer Bunny, he just keeps on going. I can’t believe the lucky timing of this. Getting a hot goalie is great. Getting one just when you need one is freaking golden.

This is exactly what the Wild needed to be doing: Finding themselves as a team, but at the same time finding ways to win and stay within striking distance.

Looking at the standings, it’s Colorado, Chicago, and the Wild with 24/22/21 points respectively. That’s right where the Wild need to be while the put the pieces together.

Overall, with the team scoring goals, the mood seems to have shifted. Last year was hurry-hurry and with high expectations being met with low goal production you could just feel the frustration and tension. Totally differeent now.

St. Louis is right on our heals and they have played about 3 games less than us.

Hopefully they keep rolling. I’d like them to start getting a little buffer. I don’t want another 10 game stretch at the end like we had last year.

How the heck are the Coyotes up there, besides goaltending? LA is still on the outside of the Wildcard looking in. I hope that Colordo (no disrespect to one of my all time favs Roy) and Coyotes go on a losing streak and tumble out of the playoff picture.

Refs were pretty crappy tonight. Not blaming them for the outcome, but man I was screaming all night. Their 2nd goal was pretty cheap though. Blatant interference. And the Cooke slash was pretty weak.

I can’t tell you how much I hate the shoot outs.

Wild still didn’t play 60 minutes. This time it cost them.

I missed 3/4 of the game, but from what I saw, didn’t look too bad. Listens to some on the radio though.

I hate the shootout too, but I sure wish Yeo would put some of that young talent out there to see what they can do. 0-3 in shootouts is time for something vastly different.

You mentioned earlier about it being ok if the wild lose in a hard fought battle. I actually would rather see them lose in a game they play like crap. When that happens, you typically see a team tighten up and play well for a good stretch. That is if they’re coached well.
