Most bizarre lopsided game I have seen in years. If anyone else starts in goal we win this game easy. Heatley’s game is gone. Not only he can’t handle the puck, it seems he no longer back checks tonight either.

Need to score more than one though.

That is true but I think when as a team and you play your butt off and then your goalie is obviously off his game and then gives up such a soft goal not to mention out of position so far on the power play goal to not have a shot at a save (it would have been a tough play to make but bit 100%) the team gets tight and holds the stick too tight. They need to learn to finish better, and the team will be in good shape. They are playing much better hockey than I thought they would at least this early in the year.

I was getting tired of the announcers last night saying how great the Wild were playing. Yeah, I get it, do the right things, tape to tape passing, angles/position, blah, blah and it will eventually pay off…

Oh, wait, that’s what they were saying all last season when it never paid off.

Honestly, I’m liking the fact that they’ve ditched the dump/chase, and their fundametals DO look good, but the Wild have to limit the focus on cute now and maximize the focus on finding the back of the net. You simply can’t win in the NHL by outshooting the other side 24-7 without actually ramming one home.

Darcy was off last night, for sure, but with the current low goal production the Wild would need goalies that can tend a shutout or a 1 goal game EVERY game in order to win with this terribly low goal production. That’s not realistic, at some point you have to win the game by scoring goals.

Let’s hoepe they were just flat last night after the bus ride up from Buffalo and they’ll be fired up in Florida.

Back to where they were last year, not scoring goals. Hope they come out of this funk. They need to be more consistent. Harding is giving them every chance to win.

And the Wild lose another game after scoring only one goal.

This low goal production is just so damn frustrating given the talent. The dam HAS to burst sometime soon, right? Right?

at this point we can only hope. Tampa I think was the first team that could really skate with us. they are a surprise team for me, I didn’t think that they were that good.

we should score some against the Panthers. Then we get the Preds and the hurricanes at home.

Don’t panic, after all you have to be really, really bad to miss the pay-offs in the NHL.

Even Pierre Mark Bouchard got a high sticking penalty (4 minutes if I remember) when an opponent lift Butch’s stick into his own face (Columbus I believe).

I’ll come clean and say that Cooke was loose with his stick on the play. I think he was a little heated up when Malone cross checked him seconds before the high stick. I’m not saying he tried high sticking Malone, but I think he was getting a little aggressive, showing his frustration.

Frustration, like when Spud Crosby tries to give a guy a free Vasectomy with his stick.

This team looks very familiar, The game has passed Heatly by.
No reason to believe anything has changed until it actually does.

Still more satisfying than watching the Vikings.

I’ll be watching the Crosby vs MacKinnon matchup over the Vikes tonight.

What do you guys think about yeo shuffling lines all the time? It seems odd that all I read in the paper is he is shuffling the lines again for offense. Don’t the players need to play together for awhile to get to know and trust where their teammates will be? The Wild have to lead the league in centering passes where no one is there to center to. I wish Yeo would say these are the lines and we are sticking with them unless of injury for the next 20 games and see what happens. Or is this just me?

He shuffled the lines because of the lack of scoring. You have to mix it up and try and get some scoring momentum. I hate line shuffling as much as the next guy, but until things get going offensively, they have to do something.

What a great period. The penetrated the D like they needed to but still couldn’t put one in. I think all they need to do is elevate the puck. If they do that, it’s 2-0.

Huge loss with Brodin out. Quick poll. Who’s mor valuable to the Wild this year? Suter or Brodin?

Suter still more valuable. Leads the D on that team. Brodin good but still learning from Suter.

I sure hope Brodin just needs dental work and didn’t break his jaw. Could be a huge set back.

Suter is more valuable. But Brodin may over take him if his scoring keeps up.

Looks like Backs will be riding pine for a while. I’m a big Backstrom fan, but it looks like Harding has found some consistency.

How about that 4th line today. They played like monsters. I can’t wait for that Polak Konopka to pot one finally.

I was shocked Fontaine made the squad out of camp, but he is turning into a great role player who can even play on the first line apparently. I thought he was a career AHLer.

I can’t believe the Islanders couldn’t find a spot for Niederreiter in their top 6? They are not that good or that deep.

I give up on Heater. He’d be ok if he didn’t have to handle the puck in the Neutral zone, but he is a giveaway machine. Maybe he should stop trying to pass through guys legs.

Glass seats really give you perspective on the game.

I once heckled Khabibulin through the crack in the glass. I am pretty sure I looked like an [censored], but that’s par for the course.

Been on the glass once at the old met, OK, but I’d rather be up higher to see the entire ice. Pretty cool for one time though

Yeah, I wouldn’t want season tickets there but it was alot of fun and glad I got the chance.
