I don’t see him agitating much, although he has drawn a couple penalties.

By garbageman, do you mean garbage goals?

They better win today. I believe the stars played last night. It would be a big let down to even win in OT and give a team in the division 1 point.

Here’s a couple photos for you from Halifax. Great hockey and fantastic beer.

The Mooseheads lost to the Armada 3-4. They gave up a SH goal with less than a minute left.

Jonathan Druin didn’t play because of a groin pull. They play the St. John Sea Dogs tonight.

Sounds like a good time. I wish we still had the USHL.

The Wild are gonna have to share the tv with the Tigers/Red Sox tonight here.

Well, well, well. Who leads the Wild in points? +/-? Game winning goals? And has yet to take a penalty.

    Matt Cooke!

Ok Pug, he has come a long way. Good game for the Wild tonight. Glad to see the newbies get on the score sheet. Pretty good all around game.

That is some third line we got there. I was wondering why we kept Fontaine up here, but he’s playing some dang good hockey too.

How about that Heatley break away slip? Is that the extra step that Yeo saw in training camp. (Sorry Cal, I thought it was good enough to reuse)

It was an off night, yet they found a way to win. They could not stop Buffalo through the neutral zone, which they seemed to do previously to other teams.

I think it is pretty obvious now we are seeing the best Wild team in its short history. Yes, including the 2003 team.

Looks like Harding is earning some extra playing time. I am a huge Backstrom fan, but even I wouldn’t put him in until Harding stumbles or a back to back situation.

It’ll be back to back tomorrow night. Will we see Kuepmer? Toronto might be a tougher test. I got to experience a bar full of leafs fans in Hali when they won in ot over the weekend. Those people are nuts. I’d absolutely live to see a wild game on Toronto or Montreal.

I thought they played ok, just didn’t create much. Not a lot of great chances.

Heater was nudged in the back of the leg he had all his weight on. Basically a slough foot using a stick. I can see why he went down. These boys are good, they don’t go down that easily. Should’ve been a penalty.

I agree with you on Harding. Wouldn’t take him out unless he falls or needs a rest. Nice to see Pommer get on the board against his old team. Brodin and Dumba playing well. 3 in a row. Lets keep it rolling. Go WILD.

Oh I just caught a glimpse of one replay and it looked like he wasn’t touched. The way he has been squeezing the stick, I thought maybe he fell on his own. It sure would be nice to see him pot one soon and get the monkey off his back.

I didn’t realize they played tomorrow. I throw Hards back out there and plan on putting Backs in on Thursday.

I guess Dumba will be sticking around this year.

I wish Scandella would play better because he has good chemistry with Spurgeon.

I don’t think Backs is with the team. Kuepmer was on the bench last night.

I believe he is. He’s skating with them in practice. Not quite ready though.

Nice game by the Wild last night to make it 3 in a row.

My one observation is that I hope we’re not going back to the anemic goal production that we suffered from all of last year. On one hand, a win is a win, but 2-1 against Buffalo doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. Koivu where are you? The big guns should have been pounding em in the last 2 games. C’mon guys, let’s not be phoning it in and letting the new guys carry the load.

I like the shellacking they gave the Texass Team Stealers–errrrm, I mean the Dallas Stars–a lot better. Score early, score often, and rub their noses in it. There is no such thing as scoring too many goals.

Last night was an off night for them, but they got it done. Buffalo is struggling to find itself, but they played well last night. You have to believe Buffalo was playing desperate last night at home to finally get a win.

Put it in perspective. Buffalo also lost 2-1…on the road…in Chicago.

He did give a good interview, didn’t he Jeff. I like the response when Pierre asked him what it is like to come and play in front of fans who hated him.

I have a feeling he is having a big impact behind the scenes as well.

Johan Larsson looked pretty good for Buffalo last night. Buffalo got a good one in return for Pominville.

I don’t think they were phoning it in last night they may have been conserving some energy since they were on the front end of a road back to back. They seemed to me trying to make one too many passes, although the goals they did score they were some very pretty passes made.

With Kuemper in goal I suspect another 20ish shots on goal night. Hopefully the Wild play their system, instead of playing to protect the youngster. The first few games have proven the best defense truly is a good offense.

3 shots against, 2 goals against. Similar to my GAA in Halifax last week

    Not good.

I thought Pierre was a little out of line on one of his questions.

Sheesh Kuemper. I told you they should have started Josh tonight.

I think the Wild had 1 or 0 shorties last year. They should have at least 1 or 2 this year.

Pug you still defending heater? I think he is in it one year too long, he is just to slow. Coyle comes back and replaces heater would make for a much better line.

This is what I said elsewhere.

I’m sure he at least has a couple mini streaks left in him. I mean he has to getting PP and top 2 line minutes.

It’s kind of sad seeing a guy playing for his next contract and sucking even more.

Most bizarre lopsided game I have seen in years. If anyone else starts in goal we win this game easy. Heatley’s game is gone. Not only he can’t handle the puck, it seems he no longer back checks tonight either.
