I think struggled is a bit strong. He looked good through most of the game. He had no chance on the first one. The second goal was kind of miraculous. The guy was actually trying to shelf it and it rolled of the bottom of his blade and went to the only place he could have scored. On the 3rd he was screened right before the shot and went down. Now I know why it looked like he was out of position.

He didn’t give up any rebound or mad scramble goals.

Kuemper tonight. Was it a fluke or will he have that cocky confidence tonight and shut out the Preds.

It’s odd that Parise and Koivu, even Harding, going down might end up being the best thing to happen to this team. Historicallly, this is when Yeo coached teams flounder. Now we got 3, even 4 solid lines with chemistry. Hopefully they continue this play and you keep Brodz, Cooke and Fonatine together. And you also keep Coyle, Heatly and Zucker together.

It has been something to watch these guys. I think Praise will fit right in somewhere but these others will have to pick the pace up if they want to play.If they keep playing like this I wouldn’t mess with the formula!! Yeo has a good problem to have!!

I’ve got to admit that I totally gave up on Keumper earlier in the season. I’m now seeing a goalie with great focus ant great instinct. Two things he was severely lacking early on. I didn’t think you could develop that so quickly.

What a stinker of a game. Wild were flat, terrible passing and beat to pucks all night. Hopefully the oilers are just what they need to get their game back on track. Yuck

The Wild certainly were flat. Wild were not prepared for what hit them. Ottawa is really flying now.

All I can say is Pee-Yoo. The only good thing I can say is I have MacArthur on my fantasy team and he got a goal on a PP that ended up the game winner which = points.

I hope they got their lack luster play out of them because there is a big opportunity in these next 3 games. They should get 6 of 6 points.

Maybe Granlund’s best period ever in a Wild sweater. He’s all over the ice in both ends of the rink.

I had to remind myself to keep the faith last night when the Oilers tied it up. It just LOOKED like the Wild were slipping badly and were totally disorganized.

Oh me of little faith! Luckily, that only lasted for about 5 minutes and the Wild got back on their horse.

Totally agree with Pug about Granlund. He is just SO slippery and hard to keep off the puck and that pass from behind the goal to Pominville was just terrific. What a combination.

Kuemper, as I said before, took an unfair beating. Now we’re seeing the goaltender that he was supposed to be. But great timing on his part to suddenly start playing great just when the team needs it.

I’m going to the game against the–Lord help me, I can’t type the name–Dallas… Dallas…. The Texass Team Rustlers. There I said it.

I’ll be the one wearing the “Help! Somebody stole my hockey team.” t-shirt. Not that I’m still bitter about that POS Norm slithering off in the middle of the night with the Minnesota Northstars and then monkeybuttizing the name so the REAL Northstar state could never use it again. No, no, I’m fine [sticks another pin in his Norm voodoo doll]. I’m fine.

I guess I would argue that Norm Green did more to damage the state of Minnesota then Tom Petters, Jesse Ventura or the Love Boat scandal ever did.

Every time I think of the fans yelling “Norm!” and that POS coming to the balcony of the owner’s suite and smiling and waving to the Northstar faithful, I want to puke.

There’s a special place in the afterlife for slimy, slithering, team-thieving owners who stab the fans in the back as they slink out the door in the dead of night. Good ol’ No Class Norm.

It warms my heart every time I see a Northstars sweater. You can’t steal the fan’s hearts Norm.

When I first started dating my wife I took her and her 2 kids to their first ever professional sporting event. It was a hockey game at Met Center. Norm was roaming the hallways giving out those North Star lapel pins. He gave the kids each one and I thought he was a OK guy. Then he gets caught in his sexual harassment scandal. Instead of facing the music like a man he slithers out of town taking the team with him.

I can’t describe the loathing I feel for that pig.

I hate to break it to these guys, but if you were playing with Parise’s return possibly Thursday in the back of their heads, that isn’t going to be enough to lift their games.

Funny how Granlund and Coyle stepped up a couple games and then couldn’t do anything. I don’t think one player had a good game tonight. Maybe Kuemper. He made a bunch of nice saves, despite giving up 4.

Kuemper played good I thought the rest of the team?? Terrible When are they going to carry the puck into their zone instead of blasting it in from the other red line No one is down there except the defense Geez I vented.

I am just happy when they are able to get the puck in their zone! They had no possession and control through the neutral zone. They have success when they own that area.

After watching the Blackhawks/Red wings game last night, I would say the Wild had better be ready to skate tonight

Yet another “response” game and another opportunity. We are 4 points up on the Coyotes and 7 up on Dallas. They both have 2 games in hand on us. The way I look at games in hand is we are in a good spot if those other teams were able make up those games in hand and win every one that we’d still be up in the standings. A win tonight would be great, because it puts pressure on the other teams.

This would be a dandy game to respond in. They have to makeup for that stinker they played in Dallas.
