I’d love to see Bulmer break out, although he isn’t much of a goal scorer. I like his game though. Think I just cursed him.

Well, they hunkered down and won again. A real feel good game for Suter .

January 4, 2014 at 9:48 pm #1376842I’m not sure how I feel about the game. I guess there were way more positives than negatives. I got a bad feeling about koivu.
January 5, 2014 at 7:19 am #1376873Kiouv could be a huge loss. The Wild beat a backup goalie and are not out of the woods yest. This west coast trip should tell the tail. I seen a lot of the old stuff on the ice for the Wild.

Koivu and Harding on IR I just heard, not good!
Erik Haula called up to fill in. Dumba may be recalled this afternoon.
And just like that, if you took the average age in the Wild locker room, you’d barely be able to buy beer.
That’s the way it goes, they need to find a way to win with the players they have, not the players they wish they had.

They should tank and get a high draft pick to select an elite QB.

Hey, as long as they beat the Packers…

January 6, 2014 at 1:12 pm #1377460Did Kiouv go down with the same injury as Parise?? I guess they will find out if they have any character

Hey, I thought this was the adult thread!

I am sure it was similar. I believe he also blocked a shot with the inside of his foot. Its hard to find character in 21 year olds.
January 6, 2014 at 3:50 pm #1377549I just hope they don’t go out and pickup another “old” dead stick just to have some experience on the ice. Yes, we got a young team but if we can “weather” the storm we should be in good shape.

January 7, 2014 at 8:28 am #1377755I do like the youth coming up. It gives them a chance to really show what they have. I think they will be just fine we just need a few people to step up and be leaders now.
January 7, 2014 at 8:43 am #1377766Oddly enough, these injuries make Yeo’s job safe for a while. It makes no sens e to bring a guy in to coach a team missing it’s top 2 forwards, a top 3 defenseman and a tough goalie situation.
If ever there was a time and opportunity for Coyle, Niederreiter and Zucker to step up, it us now. They are going to get a lot of PP time, if the team can get the opponents to commit penalties. There has beens signs of these guys stepping up lately, but they need to pick it up a little more and be consistent.
January 7, 2014 at 11:54 am #1377823Those 3 you mentioned are a good nucleus. I certainly like Niederetter sticking his nose into most everyone’s business. Granlund should get the same way.

January 7, 2014 at 2:09 pm #1377868What is up with these game times? How come the league can’t force LA to start games with central time zone teams before 9.30 CST?
I mean, come on La-La Land. Would it kill you go start a game at the ungodly hour of 7.00 PM local time? Ya know, like the same time everybody else normally starts games?
This is a key game for the Wild. The situation is challenging, for sure, but the problem is that the Wild were under-achieving WITH the big guns in the lineup.
It would be nice to be sitting in 2nd or 3rd with an easy line of sight to a good playoff slot, but the can’t afford to take a few games off while Zach and Koivu recover. As the Wild found out last year, dragging buttski into the playoffs in the last slot is only slightly better than not making the playoffs at all.
Let’s go Wild. Young guns, time to step up. I’ll be cheering you on. For as long as I can stay awake.

January 7, 2014 at 2:15 pm #1377871I am assuming that was sarcasm, but can you imagine every time a central or eastern timezone team came in they would have to start their games at 4-5 pm.
I’ll watch most of the game. I am not sure why.
January 7, 2014 at 2:27 pm #1377876Apparently Harding is out long term. Suppose they have to get Kuemper in sooner or later. Might as well go with a complete youth movement tonight.

mojogunterPosts: 3303January 7, 2014 at 2:41 pm #1377879There is something wrong with Backstrom now too. That is why he isn’t starting. All signs point to something ugly coming tonight. Yeo’s job is secure for a while now. Who is going down next? I have tickets available for the ottawa game next week if anyone is looking to go. Don’t everyone pm me at once and overload the system.
January 7, 2014 at 3:29 pm #1377895Dude, even without Alfie the Sens are my favorite team from the East.
mojogunterPosts: 3303January 7, 2014 at 3:59 pm #1377903What a perfect opportunity to see your favorite team in section 108 row 20 for the low low price of $83 per seat for the low total of $166 emailed to your computer.
mojogunterPosts: 3303January 8, 2014 at 7:40 am #1378125Was a real fun game to watch after the first period. I seen some speed last night and some gutsy play.

January 8, 2014 at 8:29 am #1378142Nino is really starting to progress more. I was really impressed with Granlund. He seems to be accepting the challenge to step up. If we keep these guys around, this is going to be quite a team in 3 years.
January 8, 2014 at 9:49 am #1378172This team could be something special. Just got to keep them together. Hope Kuemper is not a one in done type goalie. He sure looked good last night.

January 8, 2014 at 9:58 am #1378180Careful with all the praise guys, you are starting to sound like Packer fans. Before you can heap a bunch of praise on them they need to do something besides getting blown away in the 1st round.
mojogunterPosts: 3303January 8, 2014 at 10:06 am #1378183I was shocked by their play after the first. Kind of played a shut down style like Lemaire was behind the bench. Kuemper stole that game for us.
