Mike, I’ve eaten at the one on Grand ave in St. Paul many times and we love it. Kinda spendy but one our favorites along with The original Savoy on 7th St.
    It’s a must try!

    Mike,

There is a Punch Pizza near my office. Pretty good stuff. Different. Thin crust, wood-fired at something like 750-800 degrees for a short amount of time. Naples Italy inspired. Definitely not a waste of your time.

if you like fresh garlic, basil, tomatoes…try the “Mimi”. It’s a little off the beaten path and it’s nothing like your classic american pizza but if that’s what you’re looking for you shouldn’t be going to Punch. Get an extra plate and pour olive oil and balsamic on it and dip each bite of the Mimi till it’s gone!
    pretty stinking tasty!

I thought it was OK. If you are looking for a lot of weight per price punch is not it. You could carry 5 large Punch pizzas in 1 hand and not even know it they are so lite.
If you are looking for a some-what healthy pizza and a fun family experience Punch may be for you.
    GOOD LUCK.

Have eaten at the Mpls one 3 times. There won’t be a 4th visit.

They are trying too hard with come up with “unique” flavor combinations and their execution lags behind their ambition. All 3 visits were the same. Soggy, wet, sopping pizza made in a rush, with not a hint of the fresh taste and Neopolitan crust flavor that are the reason for going this route in the first place. It was just bad by any standard.

IMO, a far better choice is just over in Hudson. Bricks Pizza on main street. I will admit that I had low expectations going in there 5 or so years ago when they first opened. Neopol pizza in Hudson? Come on. About the same chance as getting great German food in Tuscany.

Shockingly good! No pretentious trying-too-hard combinations, everything on the menu works and we had a large group there one night and we did try one of everything. Call ahead and tell them you’re coming on Friday and Saturday nights and they’ll always work you in. Good wine list as well.
