Found it protruding from a bank way back in the middle of nowhere ???

Is about as big as a large garbage can. The wood in the center looks really old.

Is this a mill paddle wheel center or maybe an old wagon axle and hub?

Cool, can you tell if the threads on the rods were machine cut?

Something to do with a mill was my first thought as I assume you found it by water. Whatever it is, it is cool and would make a great lawn ornament once cleaned up a little.

It is BK’s snake trap. Looks old and rotten cause once he put it out… he won’t go near it again…

I thought Len was talking about the Creeping Charlie.

That kind of moss wouldn’t be growing on it, if it was in the water.

Think it could be a small paddle wheel?

I think that’s part of a Pflueger Mark I, the first baitcaster ever made. You had to be a really dedicated fisherman to use it.

Bet its not stamped “Made In China”.

I say it the hub section of a water wheel for a mill too.

x2, old belt drive pulley. Cool. Beings its near water, any chance its from an 1800’s water powered grist mill.
