Help me in the fight against ALS

My father Steve was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Everything that I know about fishing, hunting and the outdoors I learned from him. In 2011, he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS). For an active man and his family, this was devastating news. In the two years since, we have fought this battle against ALS. We kept my dad going and took him fishing and hunting up until his very last weeks with us. In June, he lost his battle and we said goodbye. Though my family is heartbroken, we are just beginning our fight.
On Saturday Sept. 21st my family and friends are participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS in Eagan, MN. We are taking donations to help us in this fight. Any donation is appreciated; no amount is too small. Please click “Donate!” below and click “Donate to Mike”. This will go directly to the ALS foundation to help us in finding a cure.

    Thank you, Mike

So sorry for your loss Mike. Many of the original IDO members lost a great friend to this disease. I wish you the best of luck in this fight! I’ve done a few of these walks and it’s inspiring to say the least.

My wrist band is never too far away to remind me of the man that could make anyone feel welcome in moments.

Mike, I’m sorry for your loss. Guess I didn’t think of asking you where your dad was when I saw you at the launch.
