I would like to install a boat motor trim gage on the front of my boat. Does anyone have instructions how to install one?

Without sounding like a smartarse, why would you want to do that?
Turning your head around to see the motor tilted up if your going in to shallow water would cover that.

If you are running your motor from the front of the boat please tell me how you are doing that and your purpose intended

J, it’s been my experience they aren’t very accurate with the exception of pointing out when the motor is out of the water. Not sure if they are better now then in years past.

But if you’re on a mission…what kind of boat and motor?

I’m wondering if he meant trim switch? Can’t see the reason for a trim gauge.

Yeah, a trim switch is nice to have if you come upon some unexpected rocks or other debris. Otherwise the gauge only helps me if I’m driving wide open and want to squeeze a lttle more out of it.

I would like to install a trim switch to raise the motor on my Lowe 1860 with Yamaha 70 four stroke.

    Ah yes
    now i understand.

You should be able to buy a switch at Cabelas or possibly FF, Install the switch up front, run the wires back to your switch at the console or back end of your boat wherever the other switch is and splice the new wires into to existing wires.

I’m not a marine tech but that would be my first thought.

Others on this site may have a better suggestion for you

check the wiring diagram, the wires might already be there and all you have to do is hook the switch up

Is this a Roughneck? And what year. I know my fishing buddy has one on his Roughneck.

when I added a steering wheel switch from land and sea, was just a clamp on piggy back deal near the control lever… very easy with instructions…
