Looking to replace two Giant pounders we lost last night while trying to find the almighty Esox. One of them is the glow in the dark and the other one is the all black with a white tail and the spinner off of the Dorsal hook. A friend of mine took me night fishing and lets just say I failed, 5,000 casts, two lost lures and the BIG goose egg on fish caught. Any one have any suggestions on the best place to purchase these??
Also need to re-spool 5 musky reels with 80# Suffix 832, where would the best place be to do this.

    Thank you for your help.

Thorne bros. or Blue Ribbon Bait. I would switch to 100lb test

I also agree on 100# and I respool my own but any good shop should be able to respool you…

100# if u cast pounders… I spool all other rods with 80# for better casting distance. I would suggest suffix performance braid over 832 just from personal experience with 832 breaking in bad situations!

I would suggest looking into a 300-1000 yd spool of line if you want to put the line on yourself as you said you own 5 musky reels. This should save you quite a bit of money in the long run.

Rollie & Helen’s Musky Shop for Pounders and Heli-Dawgs!!!

100# for throwing da big stuff, I have been happy with Cortland’s Master Braid in brown. I also throw 80# for the rest of my stuff.
