Omni Freeze Zero clothing

    So, with this intense heat… Has anyone tried the new Columbia Omni Freeze Zero clothing that gets cooler when you get hot and sweat? I read a review online that said it works really well and a lot of bone fisherman in Florida swear by it. Would like to hear any first hand reviews…

    They were giving samples away at State Fair. I didn’t get any cuz GM was giving ’em away….not a huge GM fan

    Not cheap, but i’m considering spending 3 1/2 days in the boat and under the sun this weekend and this just might make it semi-tolerable!

    I read an online review that says the t-shirt is very good…but if you are out for an extended period of time in direct sun – get the neck gaitor. You can keep wetting it down and wrap around your neck/head. I guess it works wonders.

    Checked them out last week but not interested enough in price to consider. Of course it wasn’t this hot then either!
    Clothing that cools you off sounds slightly suspicious like clothing with an SPF rating…

    We bought a few items as a family yesterday. My wife a t-shirt, my son the sleeves only and me the neck gaitor. Feedback was that the t-shirt was a little cooler, the arms a little better…but a wet down neck gaitor stayed very cool for quite some time. I can see using for a long day in the boat! Maybe wearing all three would be the ticket

    What makes this neck gator better than a wet towel that was soaked in the cooler? Just askin’….
