Anyone out there with Navionics chips or Mobile App for Canada, could you tell me if a given lake in Ontario is mapped?

The lake is Kapkichi, just north and west of Pickle Lake (both the town and the lake of the same name)in Ontario. I can send GPS coords, if needed.

I have looked all over heck on websites, etc, and there is no comprehensive list anywhere that I can find that names all lakes Canadian lakes that are mapped.

This lake DOES have road access, so on one hand I can see it wouldn’t be out of the question that it would be mapped to at least some basic level of detail.

Can any of you Navionics guys confirm if this lake has been mapped at all? I don’t want to buy the upgrade if nothing other than the southern tourist lakes are mapped.

I downloaded the Navionics mobile app about 5 months ago and it’s not on there. Also checked an online source, Angler’s Atlas, and they don’t have it either. If you google “Kapkichi lake map” you can find a map of the lake – no depths – but at least you can see the points, islands, etc.

Was there exactly a year ago. It’s a fairly shallow lake overall with a few spots 20-30′ maybe down to 40. We caught walleyes 8-25 fow as I remember. It’s a long ways up and I have a headstart on most folks, and we drove by a bunch of lakes I’ve fished that are far better. It was an interesting experience to drive that far north though. Pickle Lake is the northern most point in Ontario with a paved road.
