If you noticed my last post titled “2005 mercury EFI 40hp 4st alarm” then you know whats up. Brought the battery to batteries plus and they tested it, said it’s good. Battery is on it’s 4th season? So if the battery is good it must not be setting off the motor alarm and I should have a mechanic take a look to diagnose the problem. So where should I take it?

Key word found in post title, “metro”. It’s my birthday this weekend and all I want to do is go fishing. So keeping it close to home would give me the best shot.
Give Supreme Marine a call, I’ve had good luck with them in the past.
I also agree Supreme Marine is a good bet. I believe they are the only Merc dealer in the city of Mpls.
Supreme Marine work on 40hp motors lower unit and fixed it fast and right. I live closer to Rapid Sports and still used them!

you didn’t say which metro area. i live in the isle metro area and the few times i needed a mercury mechanic i went to lyback’s
Roberts Marine has done a good job for me so far. It is 10 miles past Hudson just of Hwy 94. Good luck.
Supreme Marine is a good choice.
For those of us on the East side of the Metro, I agree with BZZSAW, my experiences with Roberts Marine have all been positive… 
Can’t say I would go back to Supreme Marine. $160 to tell me everything is fine and clear the alarm codes 
Rapid marine in ham lake have two outstanding mechanics. Ask that Ernie, or Chad look at your boat.
