I would post this oh the fishing report forum, but for some reason I don’t have permission to do so. Anyway, can someone please tell me how the white bass are doing? I will be up there the week after Labor Day fishing for them. The past two years the fishing has not been good there.
    Thanks!

    Hi Ron,

I can’t give you an up to the minute report like Steve at Everts can, but they were doing good a week ago.

One couple had 36 in two pails all of very nice size.

They were fishing in the vermilion using poppers and raps although in true white bass form anything would have worked.

How it’s going to be when you arrive is any ones guess on the river.

I got to get out White Bass fishing one of these days. Thanks Brian for letting me stop and catch one our last time out.

There was a flock busting up above the sand bar near the dam today.

Any more news on the White Bass? We come up every Sept for a week’s fishing and haven’t done well at all on the White Bass the past two years. Hoping this year is better.

Just talked to a friend in Pepin that said I should not make my annual trip up there to white bass fish as the fishing is terrible. He said nothing is biting. What a bummer.

I’d find a new friend. Lots of fish caught in my boat this weekend in the lake and river of pool 4. White bass, eyes, pike, large and smallmouth bass.

Sounds like my friend doesn’t really know what is going on. Ozzyky, are the whites chasing shad and gulls diving yet?
    Thanks!

Didn’t see any gulls diving yet. Just caught my whites on sand near current. Some whites surfacing but the best is yet to come.

There was a boat right in one of my favorite spots this time of year around 7:15 on Monday morning. Looked like a relative to a former WWE legend.

On the river Monday and Tuesday. RRR is correct. Not that he is ever wrong. And if you are a bluegill chaser you would not be disappointed on P4 right now. Easy and huge.
