Well here is todays scoop, there doing poorly on the walleyes on pool 6 but the stripers and smallies are turning on, The praire Island spillway and the culvert under the praire island road, have doing wonders with either a gold or silver mepps or the old reliable white grub, mister twister. Also if you like those toothy critters, I heard alot of 3 to 5 pounders have been sighted at the sunken barges by lock and dam 5a. If anyone else has any reports, pipe right up, sorry it has been a while but I have been up on the big pond of millacs this last week and I did not fair very well with the fish gods, at least not when it came to the wise walleye, but did do very well with the smallies in front of franics resort and in twin bay areas fishing the rocks with a crawfish colored tube bait and a white zoom fluke, jerk and pause method. thanks to bobber for pointing me in the right direction, maybe next time we can get toghether. just think someday it may stop raining and the river will go down, if and when it does watch for the water release out of the trempleau refuge, the walleyes will be in hot and heavy in the early am and the late evening. Good Luck, and tell Noah and the animals hello if your out on the creek….

Thanks for the report. Its really nice to have someone reporting on pool 5A and pool 6 as we don’t hear alot from that area. But I know that is going to change with MiniGrub out there on the water and sharing his knowledge with all of us. Thanks Bud.
    Thanks, Bill
