I got a 1957 Evinrude 18 hp Fastwin outboard motor.
What is the ratio to mix the oil to gas?

I believe that one is old enough to run 24:1.

Its been a long time but I thought 25:1 but that is trying to remember from the mid 70’s. Perhaps call a dealer to be sure as I do not know for sure

24:1 was probably the original recommendation but 2 stroke oils of the 50’s was alot different than today’s. A 50:1 mixture would be plenty of oil. Just fog it before storage

Thanks everyone for the input. It sounds like just put oil in it and run it. It actually runs better than I thought. Good 2nd boat to play with now.
