I plan on dumping comcast as an internet service,I have had them for a long time and almost all my contacts are through this E-Mail account.
How do I go about changing my E-mail address so that I can notify all my contacts.

Send them all a new email telling them your new email address.Create a Gmail or Live mail account for free. I would print out all of your contact info.

You could also check with Comcast, they may allow you to keep your email address.

Jeff, you will likely lose your Comcast email account when you drop service with them. At least, that is what we were told. This means you’d lose all of your email messages and your contacts, so printing and/or exporting a list of your contacts and saving them to your computer is a good idea. Also, it might be a good idea to set up your Comcast email account with an email program like MS Office Outlook, Outlook Express, or Thunderbird so you can download and save your old emails to your computer before you get rid of Comcast. I would recommend gmail for your new email provider. I’ve never cared much for yahoo.

    Thanks for the help.

We are no lomger comcast customers.

And the ironic thimg about having our service dissconnected? It was the most professional and polite service that we ever recieved from them.

You had issues with their internet service? Who you going with now? And did you get a Gmail account?

I do not have a home service now.

    I have a G-mail account on my I-Pad that I will use.

The service that we had from comcast was unreliable, after having so many service calls at my house that they could not resolve,we decided we have had enough.

Ah, I have had issues lately, but I am thinking it is my Wireless router. So I use my phone as a hot spot to power my laptop, plug Michelle’s desktop directly to the router and I have taken the router offline. Since we are moving, I don’t feel like troubleshooting.

Same deal here,we have had two new routers in the last year or so. We would lose internet service continually, as the routers got older the more problems we would have.
They have a recored message that helps you reset the router when you lose service. To me that points to a long standing problem in their equipment.
