Take a garden sprayer with water in it soak the paper real well let soak for half an hour and it should peel away easy. Then wash the surface with a mixture of T.S.P. and water with a sponge to rid the wall of the glue residue. No sweat.

Add dish soap to the water and SOAK it heavy. A 2-3″ scraper works well.

Get some Diffs walpaper remover. Menards sells it. Put in sprayer as mentioned mixed with water. Spray until it is soaked. Let it sit for half an hour. Repeat. Keep soaking it until the water gets a chance to soak through the paper and attacks the glue. This could take a few hours depending on the paper. Once it gets to the glue it will peel right off but it could be hell if you don’t give it the chance.

    Take your time.

I do this for a living too J. The best way I have found is roll up bathtowels and place at the bottom of the wall to soak up the water that runs down the wall. If its a vinyl faced paper it will take longer because the water has to soak through the thin vinyl. If its paper it will soak through faster. Use as hot of water as your hands can handle without burning them, very warm water is whats best. Put in a bug sprayer and soak the paper until the seams start to seperate and then test pull the edge to see if its starting to release. If you’ve got the time just keep soaking because bigger pieces are easier to pull off then small thin rips.

Don’t over soak the wall because some of the paint may come off too, some may still come off depending on the quality of paint or if sizing was used like it was supposed too be used, don’t be surprised if some comes off. Sizing is a release agent and also a bonding surfacer, kind of like a paint primer, lets hope they used sizing because its a whole lot easier to remove the paper. After the papers off wipe the glue off down too the paint. Take your time and don’t gouge the paint or the drywall surface paper, because then you’ll have to repair it. Give the warm water time time to work. All I use is warm water and run that through my airless, just keep adding warm water. I’ve heard other things also work but that’s all I use. Don’t use the paper punchers, their called paper tigers that put perforations in the paper because they will also make small dents and perforations in the paint and surface paper of the drywall. Give the warm water time to work. Soak and resoak every 15-30 minutes and keep it as wet as possible. Let hope it isn’t contact paper that’s on the wall instead of true wallpaper, that’s a bit-h to get off no matter what you try…good luck

Pull a Tom Sawyer and convince glenn57 that it’s a whole lot of fun to do! He’s kinda dense so you probly might be able to dazzle him into doing it for you! DIRTBALL2
