Has anybody changed out your incandescent tail lights to LED ones? The size & shape of the ones on my 2001 Shorelander trailer are making it hard to find ones close to the original light size. They are 3 1/2″ tall x 7″ long x 2″ deep.

Cabelas have them but they are spendy. I went with the round ones from Harbor Freight . Took a 2×6 piece of treated lumber. Cut it the size that fit and covered it with white aluminum flashing drilled the 4 ” hole through and mounted the light in the hole and ran the wires through a hole that I drilled to intersected with the 4″ hole. Then attached a piece of 1/2″ treated wood on the back to enclose the whole thing and then mount it in place. Been trouble free for 4 years….. (knock on wood) If I knew how to post photos I would Just the way I did it. AL

Rigid Hitch in Burnsville has several sizes. I put them on my last Karavan trailer for about 55 bucks. That was 4 years ago. Never had a problem with them. Just make sure you solder and shrink wrap all connections.

I have an 2002 shorelander, and I got LED lights on Ebay. About $50 shipped, worked great.

Got mine on line from some place in Florida, less than 40.00 for the pair. Sorry I can’t remember the place’s name. Might try and google for led lights.

Avoid the SuperBrightLEDS. I had horrible luck with them; they always replaced them under warranty, but they did that a lot before I cut my losses and got something else.

I have been happy with Blazers so far, but I had to do some light modifications to my Shorelander as they aren’t the same size.

A buddy of mine just bought a generic version at Fleet Farm in watertown that fit his 1999 Shorelander perfect.

    I have a ’01 Shorelander as well.

I just went to an auto part store and bought a LED bulb. ‘course the taillight lens was intact on my lights.

Just got mine done over the weekend. Went with Optronics brand. A little shorter than the originals, but still look good. Put them toward the outside for side marker view.
