Good story, huh? Probably not worthy of national news though

It is amazing how ignorant people are of the power of the dollar bill. Perfect rebuttal pug. News is all about the awe factor and that brings ratings and that brings advertisement $$. Who to be mad at the sheeple who actually believe the BS or those who make it?

You won’t recognize me, My name was Antonio West and I was the 13-month old child who was shot at point blank range by two teens who were attempting to rob my mother, who was also shot. A Grand Jury of my Mommy’s peers from Brunswick, GA., determined the teens who murdered me will not face the death penalty. Too bad I was given a death sentence for being innocent and defenseless.

My family made the mistake of being white in a 73% non-white neighborhood, but my murder was not ruled a Hate Crime. Nor did President Obama take so much as a single moment to acknowledge my murder.

I am one of the youngest murder victims in our great Nation’s history, but the media doesn’t care to cover the story of my tragic demise, President Obama has no children who could possibly look like me, so he doesn’t care and the media doesn’t care because my story is not interesting enough to bring them ratings so they can sell commercial time slots.

There is not a white equivalent of Al Sharpton Or Jesse Jackson, because if there was, he would be declared racist. So there is no one rushing to Brunswick GA to demand justice for me. There is no White Panther party to put a bounty on the lives of those who murdered me. I have no voice, I have no representation, and unlike those who shot me in the face, while I sat innocently in my stroller – I no longer have my life.

So while you are seeking justice for Treyvon, please remember to seek justice for me too. Tell your friends about me, tell you families, get tee shirts with my face on them and make the world pay attention, just like you did for Treyvon.

    Thank you,

    Antonio West

Georgia law doesn’t allow the death penalty for people under 18. Having said that, they should ignore the law in this case and give these scum bags the firing squad

I was actually going to point out that your post isn’t as political as it is a comment on political discourse. I get it.

(CNN) — Four days after he was acquitted of murder, George Zimmerman stepped out of seclusion to help a family get out of an overturned vehicle in Florida, authorities said.

He must have been profiling the SUV.

I am surprised CNN ran with the story? Maybe they were testing the waters for a reaction.

That is kind of tongue and cheek, although I do believe news organizations do put out prospecting stories.

I sadly think you are correct. The media and the president made something out of “nothing”. You don’t hear squat about the 50+ murders a weekend in Chicago.

I can honestly say I have no regrets not voting for this president. Instead of trying to heal this country he’s tearing it apart.

What if he had never got out of his vehicle?

So he is ok with hoods upside?

Thank God none of the passengers were eating skittles.

Al Sharpton has responded saying that obviously the passengers were white.

Hate to Bring it Up Again

But this guy makes a great case. Leave out the last 10-20 seconds with Obama’s picture, its irrelevant. Don’t watch it trying to retry the case and decide guilt or innocence. Simply watch this from another perspective comparing it to how the media, pundits, activists and talking heads handled it.

Isn’t it a pretty amazing story that George Zimmerman, not much more than a week after being acquitted, helped out a family who were in an overturned vehicle? I would venture to guess while other people stood by not wanting to get involved. He had every reason not to get involved, yet he did.

Now I am not saying he is a hero or anything, but I think as a whole, this story probably deserved more than the blurbs I have seen. I think it is every bit as interesting as the TM case which got more attention than it deserved. Way more.

Journalism has really become a sad occupation when you realize how it is about marketing and pushing agendas. Not to mention how people have become so polarized and quick to accept what they are hand fed, quick to judge, quick to demonize and quick to incite.

Has anyone seen what Zimmerman’s been up to since he has been out of jail?

Looks like he has been in trouble with the law 4 times….latest is going after his girlfriend..What a shame this guy is walking the streets. You know what will happen next is he will end up killing someone else. What a joke !!!

Not too worried about him. He’ll be murdered in no less than a year.

I believe it was a result of what he went through with the trial.

How would your mental state be if you spent months in hiding, accused by everyone for murdering someone, death threats by the thousands each day, never able to see your family or friends again, never able to step foot out of your safe house, then when released it still continues for the rest of your life?

That is enough to drive anyone insane.

Not to mention he is over $1.5 million in debt from the trial.

But, as they say, it is what it is.

Personally I don’t care if Zimmerman was guilty or not. The only part of the story that is sad is that somebody got killed. Who, when, where & why doesn’t matter to me.

This story will end up much like the Rodney King story IMO.

I am still trying to figure out what one story has to do with the other? That is unless your are a news organization looking for a hot story or an activist some how monkeybuttizing this into some how validating that they are right and the verdict was wrong.

Huh? You would never have heard Zimmerman’s name if T. Martin had not broke the law.

I know, I’m talking about how he’s being talked about in the news now. Some people try to connect one thing to the other. It was sarcasim, hard to type inflection!
