Here is a little blub from an Ultimate Hike Email I received today.

Greetings hikers! It’s that time, which means we are asking you to formally commit to joining us for the BIG DAY! Below you will find some fundraising tips, a hero story, and more information about how to recommit. But first, I want to give a huge shout out to Bob Pries, our first member of the Summit Club! Congratulations on raising over $5,000 for childhood cancer research in just a few weeks.

I would not be anywhere close to that total with out all of your support. Thank you IDO.

By the way, I’ll be at Everts this Sunday, sometime between 11:00 and 1:00 to pick up my three BK Specials Hair Jigs. Hurry and come get your’s, I hear there are limited quantities.

Actually Bob, we couldn’t have done it without you! It so easy to take our lives for granted. I catch myself getting frustrated with my kids and I think of all those parents who would love one more opportunity to be with their kids. Perspective, it’s easy to lose.

That really hit home tonight. We forget to appreciate what we have – I do, A LOT. Thank you Kooty.

And thank you Bob, for doing what you’ve done – it’s amazing.

Damn it Kooty, now I am going to have to go and hug my boy. -) Very, very well put indeed.

Logan has said this same statement about wanting more time with Kaden. He even said, though he wouldn’t want to see Kaden suffering, he would have taken years of battling cancer. He just wants him back. So do I, I guess. I miss that little bugger.

You know, it funny about kids. If you would have told me 9 years ago that I could feel like I wanted to beat the living….out of someone and hug and hold that same someone 2 seconds later, I never would have believed you. It’s amazing how fast I can loose my temper, and then 2 sentences later, have to turn around, so he doesn’t see me laughing. Little Chit’s aren’t they.

They sure can be, but the hugs are worth it.

Haha. I’ve said it many times. I know why some animals in the wild eat their young.

Like this AM. My 5 year old is whining because I won’t let her eat breakfast in the living room.
