    Took my bass boat out for the first time this year on Friday. Started it up and it runs for a while and then it idles itself out and shuts off. It will restart fine and run fine for a while and do the same thing. I can rev it up and put it in gear and it will either kill itself or just idle very slow with no power and shut off. Any ideas on what it would be…fuel issue or ignition? I had a ignition problem with it a few years ago but the tach would spike when it was started. Any help would be appreciated !! Thanks!

    Fuel issue would be my call, starvation.

    Check flow from tank

    Check primer bulb and check valve

    Dou you have a fuel switch that is partially open or between tanks?

    Fuel filter/water separator

    check fuel pump

    clean carbs

    Check your fuel lines going to the motor being that old the 10% ethanol will eat the inside lining of the fuel line up causing restrictions or intermittent gas flow.
