Contact the Webster bait shop for an updated fishing report. He is very generous with information (don’t forget to give him a little business while you’re there in thanks for the info. I don’t have any up to date info but check out the SD threads and there should be some up to date stuff from QB. Seems like this time of year you can choose the way you like to fish and you’ll catch them that way!

    Good luck

Definitely shoot Quintin Biermann a PM if he doesn’t respond to this post. He’s on the water out there almost daily and has been on the fish of late.

+2 for Quintin. He has helped me a few times in that area. He knows the area well and great person to talk to.

As some of the guys have said Dakota can be plentiful. By the end of July there is usually a great livebait in place pulling spinners with crawlers. I personally like to pull cranks on the weed edges. Jointed #5s are a great bait this time of year, I’ll send a PM with some more information. – QB

If you’re not down for just dragging rigs, find those island flats in 3-6 and throw rattle traps up there. Just cruise along the edge throwing up on top and try not to have too much fun. Bitter is hot in the afternoon with this type of technique.

Best bait of late is a chrome and blue rattle rap.

    Good luck!!!
