    Inguinal Hernia???
you should be up and walking same or next day.
Stair steps are another thing/maybe in a week. Getting up in the truck will be a [censored], but then getting out of the car is no fun either….
Plan on taking it very easy the first couple weeks. No heavy lifting at all for almost a month, possibly more. Your Doc should lay down the law for ya…hope you weren’t planning on running a marathon or anything, just isn’t gonna happen..

Hope all goes well(it should) and here’s hoping your back fishing very soon!(let someone else load and unload the boat)

After surgery, don’t sneeze! This may be the most painful thing you experience, ever. Normal daily stuff within a week, standing for long periods or heavy lifting will take at least a month.

Take it easy and follow the DR instructions. Last thing you want to do is go too early and cause a problem. Mine was fixed many years ago and I am told how hernia (mine was inguinal) is fixed now is a stronger repair.

I was told to crawl around. Standing was interesting. Visiting the can….you can figure that one out

Can be fixed Laparoscopic. Some go home the same day. Not saying you will be worth a crap but could go home same day. I would say more like 6 weeks with no lifting for that period of time. Whatever you do listen to what your surgeon says and follow his orders or you will be worse off. Good luck.

6 weeks min. Sleep in a recliner the first couple of days v, tough to get up out of bed. Take youre pain pills. If they say 1 every 4 hours take it, because once you have pain its too late to be pain free. Good luck to you before you know it yuoll be pain free.

take the meds they send home. I felt great when I got out of the hospital the same day because I was on the stuff they gave me there. Went to bed that night and had to have the wife help me sit up to get to the can As long as you do that for the first few days and then take it easy you will be fine

Had one fixed about 8 years ago. Went into the hospital around 7am and walked out around 11am. My Mom asked me what I wanted to do and I said, “let’s go pick up my sister and go out for lunch”. Wasn’t that big of a deal. Might have missed 3 days of work. Just do what the doc says and you will be fine.

I had a mesh repair on a Friday just this March. The first three days were tough. But, by the next Friday I was driving the kids around on the snowmobiles on the fresh snow. In two weeks I felt fine. By week three, I had full clearance. After the first three days, it really didn’t hamper my life too much.

If you would have been fishing the league instead of golfing you wouldn’t be in this situation. Take it easy for a while and good luck….maybe the Dr. will prescribe fishing.
