    We saw a spider just like that while we were staying at a lodge on Big Mantrap Lake.

    That thing was freaking huge, and we started calling it the maneating spider throughout our vacation

    That’s what I thought it was to. I’ve seen them basking on a retaining wall above the water at Knife Lake. That year I also saw them on the dock. For some reason they were everywhere that year.

    People, if you use tires hanging on your dock posts for bumpers, please inspect them first before moving. We’d hate to lose you.

    And punch drain holes in the bottom so skeeters do not have another breeding place. The bad ones with west nile virus just love places like this.
