6 Guys. 5 Days. 100 Miles. Join six anglers on the “Trip of a Lifetime” as they fish the one hundred miles from the top of the legendary Lake of the Woods south to the town of Baudette on the Rainy River. Outfitted by Cabela’s, armed with only Rapala Scatter Rap lures and led by the In-Depth Outdoors Team, Rapala Pros and local guides will showcase these premiere fishing waters as they see just how many fish the NEW Scatter Raps can catch in five days. Launching June 17th!

We just found the Fish Counter which is a WAY cool feature!

You can follow along and see how many fish each team is catching and the info is broken down by species. Right now Team Gold (Mark Fisher and Joe Henry) are handing it to the IDO boys.

Pretty cool site they setup there. Can easily navigate to where you want and simple. Have been checking in all day and cracked up to see the first nice eye was an accident. !

Nelson – Black Team is starting to put together a solid program on the walleye after his “big fish accident.”

If we know Holst at all he’s off fishing walleye shallow, somewhere, swinging for the fences.

The Fish Counter has Gold Team kicking the pants off of Nelson and Holst so far.

Team Red, Holst and Koonce, get things figured out at the very end of Day 1 of the Scatter Rap Challenge and put some nice ‘eyes in the boat right before the close of fishing time.

The In-Depth Outdoors TV camera crew hits the Sunset Lodge dock with the Scatter Rap Challenge team captains and their Tuesday co-anglers to review Day 1 strategies and results and lay out game plans for Day 2.

If I didn’t know any better I’d say those “walleye guys” are getting a little worried about being lapped again today by Team Gold.

If you’ve been wondering how all the fish catch information was being gathered by the anglers on the water this video takes you through how the producers behind the Scatter Rap Challenge kept everything on the “up and up” and as accurate as possible.

Hmm… the Red Team pulled ahead. Looks like they are killing the walleye today. I wonder if they came across a big school of perch or crappy to pad that ‘other’ category.

Damn, I should have doubled my guess and I would have been in the running.

I’ve been told it was a big walleye bite with a solid mix of smaller saugers that both Holst and Nelson found near Garden Is. that allowed them to catch up.

Less than a minute after getting their baits in the water, Red Team Captain James Holst’s Day 3 co-angler Cal Svihel hooks and lands a 26-inch, 4.75-pound walleye, trolling a Helsinki Shad-colored Scatter Shad on Sufix 832 Advanced Lead Core line.

Holst mentioned that Day 3 was one of the fastest paced walleye bites he’s ever been on. And I would imagine he’s been on a couple good ones in his time.
