    Hi,
I have a 115HP inline 6 Mercury on my old Lund Tyee. According to the wiring diagram for that motor the “upper” switch box feeds the coils for cylinders 1, 3, 5. Since there is very little between those switch boxes and the Stator, I would give that a look.

    Take care,
    Roger

X2, I just had the same problem on my 100 hp Merc, had to replace the switch box for those cylinders
