    Well then!

Maybe do your shopping at Walmart where your money actually goes to large corporations and millionaire shareholders.

I for one take this as an insult. The store prices are very competitive compared to other big box stores. We may not have the cheapest prices on every single item in the store, but we do offer some of the best advice, service, and knowledge around when it comes to your fishing needs, which a lot of the big box stores do not have.

P.S. I happen to be an employee at this fine establishment and I was a loyal customer long before I began working there this spring

I think every business owner wants to make a million dollars off there customers….don’t people generally open businesses to make as much profit as they can??? Who comes on a fishing forum just to bash a bait shop? My parents live in oakdale so I stop by there quite often, I personally like it. A scoop of crappie minnows or fatheads is almost always twice what you get anywhere else for about the same price. If you have such a huge problem with the way somebody runs there business you can 1. Go somewhere else or 2. Open your own. Bashing small businesses online because their price didn’t seem appropriate to you is a real [censored] move if you ask me

I fish muskies, and there isn’t another bait shop within 30 miles of my home (that I know of) that sells large decoy suckers

I was a regular customer last fall, and Josh always had the freshest largest suckers

He was very friendly, and offered some great tips

Not to mention that the prices on the bait wasn’t to bad compared to what I’ve paid at other places

So maybe you need to get off your soap box and chill out

I got nothing but good things to say about blue ribbon. Good bait at decent price with friendly customer service and good fishing advice.

Whew listen up Homie! Josh has a nice shop with a great selection of bait and tackle that serves the east metro for its fishing needs for ALOT of anglers. I for one think he runs a very nice operation that few others have successful at! Great addition with the new coffee set up. Good luck at walley mart finding your minnows. I”ll be gettin my bait at Blue Ribbon! Josh THANKS for the great service…

I don’t buy much live bait because I go for the king of gamefish, bass. But I do know that when ice fishing (depressing) blue ribbon gives you a lot of bang for your buck on minnows. Seems like a really good muskie pro shop too. The original post seems a little out of line, especially without mentioning specifics.

Blue Ribbon is my favorite bait shop in the area. Small bait shops can’t compete with the prices of the big box stores, so if a buck or two more helps keep a locally owned bait shop with a great atmosphere in business, I’m fine with that.

Are you [censored] or just some kind of jerkbait? Do you even actually go fishing more than once a month? If you did, you would probably know that you could get bait about 8 other places in the east metro.

Go to Gander then and let us know how you do. I’m betting it isn’t going to be 25-50% less thana Blue Ribbon. I’m sure the other shops will really miss the couple of bucks you drop each month.

I buy at Blue Ribbon because it’s 4 blocks from my house. Prices seem fair to me, but I guess if you’re really interested in saving money, you should just quit fishing and maybe take up bird watching or knitting.
