Took my daughter out to the local lake, usually nobody out there, its a small lake, couple hundred acres. Today was windy so there were 3 other boats at the access. Couple guys from Nebraska launching. Had a new Lund Impact and a Rebel, its a very small access so they were blocking the whole thing while they carried coolers and gear from their truck. Guy came over and apologized for blocking the ramp. I wasn’t in a hurry so it was no big deal. Turned it into a teaching moment for my daughter, explained that you should be ready when its your turn. Turned out to be a fun couple hours on the water. I could have gotten all torqued at the time it took to get on the lake, but didn’t. I thought it was great that the guy apologized. Wished there were more people like that.
After all the bad things you see and hear about public access issues I thought I would like to share a positive experience.
