About The MN Valley In-Fisherman Club

The MN Valley In-Fisherman Club is an informal, nonprofit, multi-species fishing club with the primary purpose of improving fishing technique and keeping on top of the newest and best fishing methods.
If you are looking for a fishing club with a friendly environment where learning and competition are balanced and you want to improve your fishing success, this is the club you should check out. Our members range from young to old in age and from casual to dedicated expert anglers. Also, you DO NOT need a boat to join or be able to fish.

We invite guest speakers to our meetings to talk about some aspect of fishing, and these speakers are often well known local or national fishing personalities. We also discuss previous outings at the meetings, sharing both successful spots and presentations.

Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Apple Valley American Legion Post #1776, 14521 Granada Dr., Apple Valley, MN. Meetings begin at 7pm

Club membership is $35 for individual or $50 for family per year. Membership is not required to attend seminars.

Monthly outings are held on waters near the Twin Cities area. Points are earned based on length and species of fish, which offers an opportunity for friendly competition with trophies, plaques, and pins given as awards. Examples of waters fished regularly are Mille Lacs, Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers, Lake Minnetonka, and the Chisago/Lindstrom area.

    Brian,

Nice to see you coming back to Apple Valley, but this time we are NOT going to have fresh deep fried fish for you.

You Know; could be a deal breaker.

I’d hold out for another fish fry……

I’d like to hear what you have to say on the subject, but the misses and I will up in northern Minnesota that week.

Don’t let the ‘ol gang get out of control.

Maybe I could get a Private (on the water) seminar?

I’d come to this but I will be sitting up on the Red River at Grand Forks that night chasing the trophy channel cats up there.

Just a friendly notice for all that can attend…we’re going to try to break the record of most red noses in one photo!

I brought two along for Jeff Huberty.

Oh yeah, heard rumor of a couple Everts Resort Gift Certificates being given away as well.

It was a very good time at the Apple Valley In-Fisherman Club meeting last night.

Just by looking at the group I could tell we were going to have a great time!

It looks like you all had a good time and great turn out! I just wish I had seen this earlier because I’m pretty green and could use the education. Any chance you’ll be having another seminar any time?

Not that I know of today, but it will be posted in the cat forum if one comes up.

If you can’t wait like I couldn’t when first starting out, go to the Mississippi River/Catfish forum and start reading threads going backwards.

There’s a Ton of good info in there from some very good cat guys that were fishing flats on the river when they were still breast feeding.
