I googled mallard duck images and these are two photos that came up.
June 10, 2013 at 9:44 pm #1176853I was negative because to a duck hunter it makes the person who wrote that look like a total idiot. “all ducks”, how about “all mallards”? (there are dozens and dozens of different kinds of ducks other than mallards)
Ever see on the news or in the paper an article about fishing and the cation says “XXX catches a bass” when he is holding up a bluegill?
If you are going to try and make a funny, don’t direct it towards someone who won’t know the difference.
People generalizing and making themselves look like idiots is a pet peeve of mine. It may be funny to someone who doesn’t know ducks, and that is fine.. just don’t direct it towards people who WILL know their ducks.

There was a tv commercial that aired some years back. It showed a duck flying making a loon call.
Every time I saw that commercial even if I was just walking by I had to stop, drop and roll with laughter.
Now that I think about it, it could have been a dog in a duck disguise impersonating a loon.
Now I don’t know if I’ll ever know for sure.
