Heading up to LOW in a few weeks. Can anyone tell the process or the do’s and don’ts of crossing into Canada by boat. We will have our license’s to fish Canadian waters and passports. But do I need to check in with customs anywhere going or coming back to the resort.
You need a remote border crossing permit. Passport will not due, look them up on line
You have to check in daily, passports do not work. Where are you crossing? On the usual lakes there is a remote phone spot where you have to stop, call, answer there questions, receive a number and continue on, do not disregard this or you will be in hot water. If you have time you can get a RABC, remote border area crossing permit for I think $32 where you can disregard the stopping and calling. Plenty of info on the internet rom Canada, have fun, but remember your vacation can turn to you know what quick
