iPod Repair

Can anyone recommend a place to have iPod charging port repaired?

My son brought his iPod to me the other day and said it wouldn’t charge. I looked at the charging port (the 30-pin variety) and noticed one of the pins was bent over.

I proceeded to employ my DIY instincts, and busted the pin off trying to bend it back to vertical.

After a little research, I’ve found some DIY instructions to replace the port, but all are beyond my skill level.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

University Minnesota Technology students run this on campus business. I’ve had very good luck with them repairing iPhones!
