potlatch leases

Our hunting group is looking at leasing some potlatch land this year. Any one with knowledge on potlatch land leases. Pro’s and con’s?

my boss has hunted one for years, says he loves it. only problem is they put his up for sale this spring.

Pros; nobody in your spot on opening morning, can camp on the land, can put in some small food plots. Usually cheaper than other leases. Cons; price seems to go up every year, can’t cut trees, or shooting lanes, if it hasn’t been logged recently it may be soon. Younger plantings(10 yrs or so) can be so thick there is no way to hunt it.

Yea, they ruined my life. Actually I lost a lot of traditional hunting land when they started that program. Most of which at my inlaws so I had no place to go!!!!
