Does it matter

I have recently purchased a 9.9hp motor for my Lund Explorer Sport 1725. Does it matter which side I put it on? Also, mine did not come with a split fuel line. I was told by the dealer that the bulb is fine and won’t suck the fuel from the big motor…I don’t believe that. What kind of shut off valve did you use if any? Thanks in advance.

I put my kicker on the port side to help offset my weight when fishing alone.

For fuel supply, I “t”d into my main fuel line. I have been told that is is bad since then from various people that just “heard” it was bad. This was 10 yrs ago and it is still running well.

x2 0n the port side placement to offset weight. I tee’d my system but placed a shut off valve after the tee on the line that goes to the kicker.

Port side because I run a tiller with my left hand.

I have ran my motor teed off of my main for a very long time. Just tee it off before your main line bulb as the bulbs only let the gas go 1 way toward the motor,so the gas can not drain backwards.
