    HAHAHAAH> Nice.

And it appears that the Amish highway there is getting used a fair amount. They just need the kids on the 3-wheeler driving around after them picking up horse POO

The Amish around here use gas powered blowers for their silos so gas must be ok. Electricity is the big no no.

I don’t know on the gas either way…but apparently they can operate electric (power tools for example) items, they just can’t own them.

I live in southern Michigan and grew up very near the Indiana border. I have seen this many..many times. They can use an outboard motor, but have never seen them using anything fancier than an open aluminum boat.

Why is it IMPERATIVE that you take BOTH Yoder brothers
along as fish pals instead of just ONE?
That way, you can keep ALL the beer to YOURSELF.

Thier big on solar power to charge the batteries for thier tail lights on thier buggies. They have small solar cells somewhere on thier house or out buildings that they use. Theres a building north of here the Amish own and manufacture wood crafts and buggy wheels. The whole building is powered by one diesel engine that runs all the machines via the old fashioned flat belts and pullys. I’ve never been in the building but would like to take a tour to see that old machinery and technology work, how longs it been since anyone has seen babbit bearings.

I would like to see him backing down the ramp to launch the boat. He may do a better job then some of us.

    I loved that show.

I once asked an amish fisherman up at Stoddard if I could take his picture and he said NO!!

You should have snapped his picture and ran while yelling, “You are getting uploaded to my Facebook status”.

A couple years ago I pulled into a launch on Osakis and noticed a horse tied up to a tree with a small home made trailer attached to a buggy. The owner and his son were paddling back in as we arrived so we waited a few minutes to watch them load their boat. It was pretty interesting to watch and not something you see everyday!
