I contacted Berkley a while back and told them about our BB/BS Get Together and asked if they were interested in making a donation. This evening I found 5 boxes on my back deck each containing 4 Spider Spincast rod and reel combos. These 20 outfits are not the cheapest ones. The rod is a 5 1/2 foot composite graphite with a Spider closed face reel and 8 lb. test. There are also 87 pieces of tackle including split shot, lead head jigs, small plastic tails, bobbers, plain hooks, etc. More than I expected to receive. I don’t know how to fit these in with the group of kids since there aren’t enough for every one and there will be other rod and reel donations. Maybe a drawing or ? Anyway, something to think about.
If I can get their e-mail address, would anyone be interested in joining me in thanking them on behalf of IDA? Maybe even some pictures of the lucky winners.
