B Fish N – Pulse R Paddle Tail set up question

Was out on the Canadian side of LOTW this weekend. I pulled out a bag of the Pulse R Paddle Tails for the first time. For a jig, I used a Northland Gumball jig (longer shank than a Fireball) and pinched off the small head of the paddle tail. Caught quite a few walleyes pitching jigs with this set up.

However, one question – sometimes the tail would get caught on the hook and and I’d get a ball of plastic on my jig. Is there a way to prevent this?

There sure is. When you cast use two hands on your rod and just as the jig is about to enter the water slow the line down with your finger so the plastic lays flat. That should prevent the plastic ball.

Tim is absolutely correct if you can practice to stop your line at the end of your cast just prior to your bait hitting the water this will eliminate a lot of that. This will also work with curly tail grubs.
