I am looking for a boat marina where I can keep my boat in the water all summer. If at all possible I would like to stay within a 60 mile radius of Sartell MN.

Start with resorts. Many resorts have extra dock space to rent.Terry’s harbor on Mille Lacs will rent slips if he has any.

Are you sure you want your boat in the water all the time? Have you considered dry land storage that many places offer?

I keep my big pleasure boat in dry land storage at a marina and I like this option much better than having it in the actual water in a slip. I call and the marina can have the boat in the water and tied up at the well dock in 30 minutes. Even on a busy weekend, they cut to the front of the launch line to put my boat in so there’s never any waiting.

I don’t have to worry about the boat filling up with rain water, or (gulp!) a hose or bellows failure. I don’t have gunk and crap building up on the hull, I don’t have the sun damage, no bottom paint needed, no acid wash needed, etc, etc.

Since my boat sits on my trailer, I can refuel simply by hooking up and driving out the gate to the gas station across the road. That saves $1 a gallon on average vs marina prices, so $50-$75 savings per fillup. That alone saves a few hundred per year.

    Worth thinking about.
