since I am stuck home this weekend, wondering if anyone is willing to share a eye or crappie spot to take the boys and daughter this coming long weekend from shore? we were heading to the inlaws cabin in WI, but my smart dog decided to eat the trailer light wires for some reason, and no dog sitters + high gas prices and baseball clinic, track and field for schools friday and dance have nipped this trip. any advice would be great. i normally go north to fish but that is not a option with basbeall clinics and dance this weekend. maybe even break them in on night fishing from shore. that is how i learned long ago. but tough to find places now adays that can produce let alone get anything else. PM if anything else.

    thanks

Customers at In-Town Marina at Waconia are sometimes allowed
to introduce youngsters to the spring bounty off their dock. Jim told me today the lilacs in town have not yet bloomed… but some nice pontoons remained available to rent to go after the papermouths he says are staging offshore. Don’t wait till they’re all gone…

A couple walleyes in a couple hour span makes to be a good night for myself, but bring any of my kids along and 2 fish for all that time equals kiddies not wanting to go with dad any more. Channels are going pretty good right now on the local river, setup some chairs, lantern going and the backdrop is already set that action won’t be fast and furious but when it happens the rod is gonna rip off their arms. Set some bells on the rod tips and they go nuts when they start jingling.
