I will be north of you on the big lake.

I will be bass fishing and will be concentrating on the points and cabbage.

Hopefully it is as good as I remember…it’s been about 8 years since I’ve been up there.

what are you looking to go after?

I also will be heading up to gull this summer. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated. Mainly after walleye.

We just got back last night from our trip. The weekend was more about family time than fishing but we did get out.

We got into the bass really good. Hit the bends on the weed edges. The depth that seemed to be holding the majority of the fish was 4-6 feet. The hot baits was a strike king trap and then a white spinner bait.

The bass where hitting the baits good. The size wasn’t crazy with the majority of the fish in the 1-2# range. Big fish was 4# and that was caught on a tube next to wood. Besides that fish, not a ton of action on the tube.

The warmer the water, the better the fishing. We found temps to range from 53-60. The majority of our fish came from 55-56 degree water-this was main lake. The 60 water in the back waters didn’t hold much.

My brother did get one eye (25) on a rattle trap.

Fun weekend, just not the greatest weather.
